We have all been immensely saddened by the enormous tragedy that has struck northern Sumatra and much of coastal Asia on December 26th, 2004. We wish to provide support to the victims of this catastrophe and ask all of you to whatever you can to help too. While our field teams that are stationed in southern Sumatra would like to have been able to provide assistance, our focus as an organization exclusively devoted to tiger conservation prohibits any other activity. Therefore, we believe that it is more effective to lend support to other reliable humanitarian organizations that are familiar with the affected area and capable of delivering desperately needed aid. We are thus asking that you to support Paneco, a great Swiss organization that is doing superb humanitarian and wildlife conservation work in some of the areas most affected by the Earthquakes and the recent Tsunami. We enclose a letter from the Director of our Sumatran Tiger Conservation Program, who is currently in Sumatra, as well as appeal letters from Paneco. We hope you will help in this time of great and urgent need.

Thanks.

Marco
