Fateh Singh Rathore joined the Forest Service in India in 1960 and today is Filed Director of Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve. He is one of the foremost experts on tigers, and has published several papers in national and international journals. In 1983 he was awarded the International Valor Award for bravery in the field.
